Bkt Antarabangsa landslide

if im not mistaken, i did promise you guys in one of my entry that i will upload the bkt antarabangsa landslide pictures.

when the landslide happened, maksu and her family were asleep in their home.

i got to know the news when i reached home after a little jogged that day...we were worried if anything happened to maksu and her family so we called them constantly until she picked up the phone.

thank god they were alright..

a few days after the nature disaster, i help maksu to get some more stuff from her home. maksu and family were living outside bkt antarabangsa for more than 2 weeks.

these were what i saw during the day i went to bkt antarabangsa.

the landslide at the point of the arrow

Datuk Azmi Khalid came for a visit

the access pass for residents of bkt antarabangsa

the temporary new road to get vehicles to the other side of
bkt antarabangsa after the main road has been completely damage

residents were waiting patiently waiting for their turn to get out from
the other side of bkt antarabangsa

what i saw was surreal.
it made me realize that life is not about ourself alone. life is short.
life is unexpected.

my deepest condolences to the family who had lost their home and most importantly their loved ones in this tragic event.
al-fatihah to the muslims.

after we got on the road from bkt antarabangsa, we headed to kl and was using the usual road, jln ampang. and all of the sudden, we were involved in an accident. we were fine, but the car was not.
a car hit us from behind, and we hit the car in front of us...
went to the police station, and it was raining, and we were already tired.

damage #1

damage #2

the main damage was his car whom hit us from behind

well, there were some other damages with maksu's car.
and when we finally reached my home, everyone was too hungry and so we made salad and sandwich.uncle yue arrived a few minutes later and suprise maksu with a key....a car key...

despite of our adventurous journey that day, maksu got a new car!

what a day!

Our Little Ikea Outing

my ipoh mali girlfriend was in town last weekend.
i wasted no time...i called vi, elly and arpah for girl's day out.
arpah couldn't make it in the end as she had to rush to other place and elly was busy with moving her stuff to her new place at kg kerinchi.

ida fetched me at klcc after work..i was looking for a white gen-2 when she called me and said she was there.i couldn't see any white gen-2...she kept repeating,"sini sini sini"... and when she said she's in black car, then i know she was in front of me after all the time!

she drove her dad's hyundai getz.

after a couple of minute, vi arrived, and vi was as much puzzled looking for ida's gen-2 as i was.

we headed to ikea and arrived around 5 or so..

ida shopped for a cute tall wardrobe, a coffee table and 2 side bed tables along with quilt cover and etc. vi got herself a side bed table too for her laptop.i got myself a nice chic frame to go along with a special picture i'll develop soon as a wedding gift.

waiting for my ride..ngeh ngeh..

we worried if the stuff couldn't fit into the car.
thank godness we met a kind ikea staff whom helped us to load the stuff into the car.only god knows how heavy the wardrobe was.

ikea product made to fit your car nomatter how small your car is

we then drove to her new place in damansara damai.and the funny part started.
the three of us were full with sweat when we unloaded the wardrobe to her house.by the stairs!
luckily for us that she lived at second floor, but still..the stairs were quite narrow and compare to our body size...we had to struggle pulling the heavy wardrobe up to the narrow stairs..lol...

ida's home was lovely and spacious.
i'm sure i'll be spending my time there soon! and maybe we'll be organizing slumber party too...hopefully we are not too old for that ;)

after a while at her house, we drove back to kl for dinner.
on the way, we decided to call elly, if she could join us for dinner.she agreed and we fetched her at her new place.

we drove to arab or better known as al-rawsha restaurant at jln damai.
it was elly and vi's first time there. we had a plate of rice, chicken kebab and humus along with variety flavours of barbican drink.

quench thirst drink...go go barbican!!

Joyful Holiday

As i promised...here are the pictures of my jolly holiday and weekends.
i'll put the entry one by one, according to the event/title.

...SCHOOL HOLIDAY AT JB...

my mom promised nikki a school holiday trip to anywhere in malaysia.
we planned to visit langkawi.it has been a while since we went there...although i went there 2 years ago, nikki hasn't got his chance to see the beautiful island.the heavy rain all over malaysia had make us cancel the plan, instead, we decided to see JB.
we had a 3 days and 2 nights stay.

we also went to see The Most Southern Mainland in Asia, Tanjung Piai, located in Johor.

i just simply love Danga Bay's laid back concept.one of the most beautiful place with ocean background i've ever seen.

...MY BFF'S WEDDING...

i met syima at KTC (Kolej Teknologi Cybernetics).
i thought she was a chinese at first after seeing her...kak lup thought the same.
but with her fluent bahasa melayu, we doubt her as a chinese.and when she said her name was syima, we were even suprised!

we clicked eversince.
there were 6 of us... lyd cma nisha harim abby lubna.
if most of my friends are happily settling down, me on the other is enjoying life.
and i'm still searching, for everything ;P
and for that one significant other.

anyho' , went to Dong, Pahang for her wedding. congratulations, cma dear!

... A DAY VISIT TO FRASER'S HILL...

abang suggested we go to fraser's hill after cma's wedding.
i have never been up there. it was my first.i was our first, except for mama.
fraser's hill is just a tiny place that only worth it if you go there for a night stay...you might get yourself bored if you stayed there for a few nights.

it's not that cold anymore.
i don't know, i think i prefer cameron highlands more...genting is much better too. but i had fun posing for the camera..oh well, you know me ;)

the beautiful background view from up there, minus the cable wire lah, and the rooftop too ;P

maybe this can be a postcard??personal postcard perhaps!

finally, nanim has found 'her' forks. and look at how tall nikki is now

my mom insisted that we take a good picture in front of the famous fraser's hill clock

i know! this pix is so irrelevant with the trip, but the post box was so adorable that i had to make do of it

THE 2009 CELEBRATION

so, here are the pixies of our little 2009 celebration.
it's nothing extravaganza...just a warmth get together event.
hazida is now in sarawak, serving as a teacher at one of the primary school in sibu...all the best dear!we'll miss you...huhu..

may this new year brings the best light ever in our life.amiinn....

L to R: ana, ros, yours truly, ainil, hazida

while the boys tried their best to make this event happened...

...we decided to just sit and chill and eat and poss for the camera

and finally..they got something grilled...nyum nyum

look at how cute rania was...she's the youngest member of our group celebrating new year

that's my friend elly who is now 5/6 months pregnant, with her husband, apai

ainil lighting up the candles in the glass

us, on new year's eve, bbq-ing at bagan lalang beach

ority.
pardon the quality from some of the pictures as i shrinked the size using only Paint software. my sister's laptop had just gone under a serious format and fix up.no photoshop whatsoever at the moment.

i'm off now.
nighty nite angels.

luv,
me

Welcome 2009!

before i write any further, lemme wish you, A JOYFUL HAPPY NEW YEAR!

so, how did you guys celebrate new year?
mesti meletup! huhu...

it was on Tuesday morning when this creative, fun idea hit me and i quickly text a.j, faten and apai about it.only a.j and apai replied my text.

they both said,"kami on jer".

they text others, and others text the others...and by the end of the day, there are 17 of us whom agreed to celebrate the new year with BBQ by the bagan lalang beach...aj, put the menu together, chicken, shrimp, kerang, potato, sausages and balls all for grilled. the side dishes are fried rice and salad. drink was oren longan.

the small new year BBQ party we handled was not as much fun and hip as those new year party around town, yet, it was as cheerful as any party was. there were some small fire cracker as the clock ticked 12 midnite. everyone was wishing everyone.

we even exchange meal with one another!

we packed things up around 2am, although we only got there less than 3 hours. thank goodness that it's dark and there were nothing much to do at the beach.if not, only God knows how we utilize those amazing hours during the day...we proved it at port dickson recently :P

i really wanna write more about my trip to JB, attending my good friend's wedding and spending my weekend to you guys.but i am really really super tired.and the pictures need to be resize.i promise i'll write in soon with pictures for you to see.

nite angels!

luv,
