Wedding + Mana Nak Cari scarf???

I have always looking forward for any wedding invitation ever since I've turned into the 3 series number. Most of my friends dah pun kahwin in either their early 20's or  late 20's, so to get a wedding invitation nowadays is sooooo hard! kesian kan I!

So, last weekend, I got the opportunity to attend a wedding of my man's 'good friend'. Ring the wedding bells! wuhuu! I had to search in my wardrobe for any baju kurung that can match his maroon baju melayu. I settled down with this black Thai Silk kurung. It was my sister's actually, she's no longer a size M (yeah, I think by now she's already an S? or was it SS??). And yours truly has been fitted into M since last year! wuhuu!

I just had to get it complete with a new scarf, and RED was my choice.  I was torn in between these two scarfs

RM59 - from a scarf boutique at Busana Mall

RM100 from Asha Karim

And of course, the latter scarf won my heart :D ngeeee
The scarf was from Asha Karim. Even though it was seriously over my budget, I had to say that it went beautifully well with my attire. This is called Arissa. And it was RM120 at the boutique, but it was on sale and I managed to get it for RM100. Well, boleh simpan for Hari Raya kan...(bak kata kawan I!)
The last piece at the boutique belongs to me!

And this is me with Arissa by Asha Karim! Okay ignore je cahaya from background tu ye. So, okay kan okay kan?? :D And I just got to know that this one is from the Premium Collection. Wow!

Getting Fit, Slim and Trim

I first started to get thinner than my old size (65kg!!!) when I had this major broken heart...anyone who have experienced broken heart know what I'm saying ;)

Kurang makan + kurang tidur + kurang happy = Thin

But it's not something that you can continue for the rest of your life. You might fall sick. During that period, I was quickly realized that I need to change something about myself and my life. So I decided to change my weight.

My ultimate weight was at 65kg during Master Degree years. You can see the pipi, waist and thigh! Memang time tu, we ate a lot. We always eat as far as I remember.

During convocation

Lucky for me, my sister was also doing her fitness thing and I just joined her. She help me a lot with losing my weight. We started to run at the park and doing like 1-3km per session. We eat clean while avoiding and also banned a few thing:
1. Fastfood is banned! (McDonalds, KFC, Burger King, etc for one year)
2. Junk Food is banned!
3. Oily food reduce
4. Sugar intake reduce to the minimum
5. Lots of veggies and fruits
6. Ice blended with no whip cream, soy/low fat milk only
7. Water
8. Cook our own meal instead of eating out
9. Intensive workout to create high metabolism

For fastfood, I only had one time of KFC during breaking fast, itupun sebab I couldn't resist the planned made by my friends. Seriously, 1 time for that 1 year of intensive diet. As for junkfood, well I'm not a junk food person but biskut berkrim cokelat pon I stopped time tu.

I started to lose weight gradually starting the first 2 months I went for run. After 1 year, I lost 8kg!! Maybe you might say eleh, sikit jee but its better to loose 8kg gradually in 1 year and maintain it rather than 10kg in 2 months and gain it back in 5-10 months later. Losing weight is also about exercising. It's not about the product you consume that promise you to loose weight in shorter period. You will gain it back if you trust only the product without eating healthy and exercise.

YES, forget about all the products that give you fake promise.
You just need to WORK OUT and EAT HEALTHY.

I am now gain a couple kg from my amazing weight break through 57kg. It's okay that way because I am still eating healthy and do my regular exercise. I hope that you can do the same if you wish to loose weight. ANYONE CAN DO IT IF THEY WANT TO! :D

My goal for this year is to weight at 55kg. My waist right now is 29cm compare to I used to be at 32cm/33cm. Can I achieve my goal? YES! IF I WANT TOO!! :D

during the breakfasting gathering at KFC. I was at 57kg / 56kg this time

during flashmob training at 57kg

during makan makan hari raya 2013 at the office, i weight at 58kg /59kg

breakfasting klmuc at Seri Pacific Hotel last year, weight at 58kg / 59kg

Hiking

Recently I've been actively involve in hiking. I first hiked the Broga Hill April last year. Since then I've been hiking few hills and mountain but not too many like the pros. Well, I'm just a newbie. hehe..

When I went to the Borneo Island, Kota Kinabalu in May last year, I have fallen in love with the Mount Kinabalu. My friend Vee, who is a Sabahan played as a host during my visit. Her husband and her brought Ida and I to all the attractions in Sabah, including Kundasang (where there lays Mount Kinabalu) and the islands, Manukan & Mamutik.

Too bad I didn't snorkel during the visits to the island. I am very much regret about it...pfftt!

But when I went to Kundasang and my eyes met the beautiful and magnificent Mount Kinabalu, I have made some sort of a promise to myself, that one day I will hike the mount. I thought it will be just like janji tinggal janji? But somehow, everything has been arranged now and I'm going to climb the mountain in May 2014, InsyaAllah.

I'm so excited. I'm going there with 3 more friends. All preparation is being made, we are intensively train for Kinabalu and prepare all the stuff to be worn there.

A few weeks ago, we went to Gunung Nuang, but because we have no experience to go further, we have decided to hike until Camp Lolo. A week after that, I went to Bukit Saga. Most probably this week will be climbing the Batu Caves stairs. It's all about body and mental fitness when it comes to hike. Mental the most important. Well, if you think you can, YOU CAN! :D

Will update more about our training soon. Below is some pictures from Gunung Nuang.

Jogjakarta #2

Hello again!

So, let me continue from the previous post about my trip to Jogjakarta.

Because of some changes we've made on the first day, we decided to go to Solo by train on the second day. Mama saya berpesan, "nanti sampai sana, jangan lupa pergi ke Solo, it's an old city" Okay ma!
The journey took us about 1 hour. We bought the ticket that morning.

On the train, we met this nice Indonesian uncle. He heard us speaking in Malay and approached us as he was sitting next to us. Nak dibuatkan cerita, he used to live in Sri Iskandar for a few years and now lecture at Universitas Gadjah Mada. He stopped at one station before Solo and we bid farewell.

My mom was right, Solo is an old city. It's more of a laid back town, compare to Jogja. But because we don't have much time (as we have to catch the last train again to go back to Jogja), we only had the chanced to wondering around the nearest place to the train station. I read on the internet that the best place to get your souvenirs, batiks and gifts were from Pasar Klewer. So we went there, and we got a few items to bring home.

Pasar Klewer also near to the modern pasar where you can get same items but slightly expensive. Mahal pun tak lah mahal sangat, just a few ringgit je kot.

I managed to bring home a few prayer mat for my aunts & uncles, telekung untuk mama and baju batik Atok Syed which I really really like the design, and some snacks from the old city. We ate at one of the stall nearby, but to my disappointment, the lunch that I had was not really great.

Before we head back to the station, Fiza and I managed to stopped by at the Masjid Agung Solo or Surakarta for our Jamak prayer.

About 4 in the evening, we went back to the train station, trying to get the ticket. Unfortunately, we had to wait for 3 more hours to get the ticket for the last train! Yes, totally stranded there at the train station. We were too tired and afraid to go back to the town to kill the time, so decided to just sit back and relax at the train station. Not too long before we got bored, met a nice lady whom also heading back to Jogja, to be precised, to UGM. She's studying there and with her is 2 big box full with books that she trying to transfer to her hostel from Solo. I forgot her name, but she was excited when she learned us from Malaysia. She asked me a lot of thing! hahaa...

We managed to get the ticket and I also managed to get an Agnes Monica CD at the convenient store at the station. wuhuu! score!

Went back to the hotel with all the souvenirs at our hand !
